Welcome to our school blog, here you will find a snapshot of events taking place at Legh Vale on a weekly basis from Nursery to Y6.

Week Commencing: 30th April 2019

RJS enjoyed a visit from some chicks as part of their Spring topic!

RNC have been planting sunflower seeds as part of our spring topic.  We are going to make sure they get everything they need to grow into beautiful flowers!

Y2PM planted onion seeds and bulbs as part of a science investigation.

Year 3 and Year 5 enjoyed working together on orienteering using the outdoor area.

Week Commencing: 23rd April 2019

Y1RB had such a fantastic time on their trip to Imagine that! They really enjoyed building in the construction area.

RJS loved using their maths skills outdoors!

RCM had a lovely time learning about the season of Spring. We went on a 'Spring Walk' to our nature area.

Year 4 had such a brilliant time taking part in a Virtual Reality workshop. During the morning we were transported back to the time of the Vikings. Then by the afternoon, we were travelling to different countries studying animals in their natural habitats. What a fantastic day!

Y5H have been learning about the Water Cycle. They choreographed their own routines to a Water Cycle song and then presented their facts to the rest of the class.

Y2SC explored their competitive side during athletics.

Ready, steady, go! Y2PM enjoyed an althletics lesson on the field.

RNC discovered lots of signs of spring this week, we even found some tadpoles!  We can't wait until they turn into frogs.

Y1JL had the most wonderful day on their trip to Imagine That! They learnt so much and took part in lots of fun practical activities.

Year 1 staff had a great time on the trip too!

Week Commencing: 1st April 2019

Reception learnt all about the Easter story and enjoyed performing it in front of Year 1 and Year 2. They did a fantastic job!

Year 3 have taken part in the Easter Story walk through at Christ Church. The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit. Please see the gallery for more photos.

This week in Literacy, RJS have enjoyed using musical instruments to imitate sounds throughout a Dinosaur poem. We made lots of noise!

Y2 enjoyed a visit to St Mark's church to explore the Easter story. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made this a memorable event.

Year 5 Sports Council helped to organise a "Funky Fun Day" for the whole of KS2.

RNC have been getting messy making our own dinosaur fossils this week.  They look fantastic!

Year 3 have enjoyed taking part in different Easter craft activities.
