Y4 have been visited by Knowsley Safari Park and took part in two workshops. In the 'Food Glorious Food' workshop the children were exploring the questions; “What is good for me?” and “What is good for the planet?”.They looked into how our diets not only affect our health and well being but also have an impact on the world around us. The second workshop was called 'Move Like Me'. This time the children enjoyed a range of movement and drama exercises whilst on a journey through the Rainforest.

Y4D Science
Steph Hill (stephhill) on: Year 4 Spring Term 2022
It finally arrived! We used our Energy Rod to help use understand how we are conductors even though we are not made of metal. We made a complete circuit by holding hands and the electricity flowed through the whole class to make the lights and buzzer work. It was lots of fun!
Science Y4D
Steph Hill (stephhill) on: Year 4 Spring Term 2022
Over the past 2 weeks, Y4D have been exploring our Science topic 'Electricity'. The children have been learning how to make and draw simple circuits and they can predict the outcome for a drawn circuit. Next, we looked at what materials are conductors and insulators. We have finished the topic off by learning the importance of keeping safe when using electricity.

Y4D School Council Elections
Steph Hill (stephhill) on: Year 4 Autumn Term 2021
Wow! We had so many children today who applied to be our class representative on the School Council. It was a very close call and we will be announcing the election winner later this week. Well done to everyone who took part and spoke so passionately about what the role would mean to you and what you hope to achieve. Miss Downey was very proud of you all.
