Year 5 had a fabulous day trip to Knowsley Safari.

Reception had a fantastic time at their first 'Sports Day'. They all took part in the races and performed with confidence.

Year 3 have visited Christ Church to learn all about the Easter Story. They even got to take part in an arts and crafts session.

Year 3 had a very exciting day when a Roman soldier came to visit. Their favourite part was most definitely the battle.

Year 5 had a fantastic morning at Haydock High, learning about Science and Technology (STEM). They showed super independence and group skills.

Year 4 have enjoyed their Electricity topic so far. Before making our own circuits, we made predictions, carried out tests and discovered what happened when certain components were added/taken away from the circuits. We had an electrifying afternoon!

The Fire Brigade came to Nursery and all the children climbed up into the cabin then squirted water from the hose. A rugby player showed the children his boots and kits. 

Year 5 had a fantastic afternoon sharing new skills and hobbies with each other. From how to play the keyboard to creating erupting volcanoes.

Y2PM built their own Tudor houses.

Year 4D have been creating their own dream catchers.

KS2 Choir at the St Mark's Christmas Carol Service.

Y3 had a visit from paramedics. They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt lots.

This week we learned about various countries, Africa, China, Italy and Australia. We enjoyed playing African drums, dancing to the rhythms and lots of other craft activities.

Y2PM and the Battle of Hastings.

As part of their reading challenge,
Year 5 visited Year 1 to share a story.

Y2PM enjoyed a range of gymnastic activities.

Christingle Service at St Mark's Church.

Year 5 had a fantastic, fun-filled morning making Melting Snowman Biscuits and Santa Skewers.

Y5H had a fantastic afternoon researching planets from our Solar System.

The Pop Project 

Year 3 visited Christ Church to look at their incredible Remembrance exhibition.

Y3 had a great time visiting Haydock High taking part in a Remembrance art project.

Year 3 became chefs for a lesson. They loved creating their own 'Rainbow Couscous' dishes. 

Year 6 visit to Christ Church.

KS2 Remembrance Assembly.

Nursery children baked cakes then added buttercream and three decorations. 

Year 5 have made some outstanding models of British landmarks. Which ones have you visited ?

Nursery children prepared the ground ready to plant more vegetables using our nursery made compost.

Year 6 pupils led physical activities across KS2 as part of a "Funky Fun Day" they had helped to organise.

Nursery children were excited and very gentle as they held and stroked the five day old chicks. Kindly brought in by Mr Harmon. 

Y6 thoroughly enjoyed Pet Week. There were a range of visitors and activities in school and the children talked and wrote about the experiences.

Year 5 are enjoying reading the Harry Potter stories.

Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon at the Totally Wicked Stadium for their Sky Try Experience. We toured the stadium, tried on some of the kit and learned valuable lessons about healthy living and well-being.

The Vicar from St Mark's visited our Nursery. Children enjoyed wearing the glass maker's protective clothing and we listened to a story about e-safety. After trying tasty treats we voted for our favourite. 

Nursery children performed in

 'A Wriggly Nativity.'

Year 5 have had an exciting week learning about Mummification.

Year 6 learnt a lot about mining when some local ex-miners came into our school.

Our KS2 children read to KS1 children during Roald Dahl Day.

Year 3 and Year 5 had a brilliant time in the planetarium, learning all about Space and the Jurassic Period.
