Children brought teddy bears into Nursery and we had a picnic outside. 

Two Year 4 teams represented our school at a St Helens cricket tournament. One team came second and made it to the County Finals in Blackpool. Well done!

Year 3 have had a wonderful time in Blackpool. They visited the top of the tower, watched the circus and even got to build sandcastles on the beach!

Nursery children marvelled as they closely observed and touched the minibeasts.

Nursery children enjoyed the hands on experience of exploring exotic pets.

Year 4 loved their football 'World Cup' tournament. 

Year 5 had a fantastic time at Haydock High,where they enjoyed Geography and Design and Food Technology lessons.

Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed a full day visit by Acorn Farm. 

Y2 Singing and Drama Club performed 'The Jungle Book'. They were all stars!Enter 

Year 5/6 Sports Day

Reception Sports Day

  Reception had a great time competing in their Sports Day. They all took part with enthusiasm and enjoyed cheering their group on.

'Nature 4 Health' Gardening Club.

As part of their 'Kings, Queens and Castles' topic Year 3 have made some incredible crowns and castles. We certainly have been 'wowed' by these.

Y5M received their letters from their Spanish friends. 

Year 4 had lots of fun with their Anglo-Saxon and Viking visitors. 

Sport Relief celebration assembly. 

Year 3 Roman Invasion

Year 3 had a fantastic time when a Roman soldier came to visit for the day. They learnt all about life during Roman times and even became a trainee Roman army.

Year 5 enjoyed a wonderful day at Knowsley Safari Park for their end of year trip.

Year 4 trip to Gulliver's World!

Year 5 have had a fabulous afternoon showcasing their British Landmarks.

They have worked extremely hard to create their own versions of landmarks such as Big Ben, Angel of the North and Stonehenge.

Year 2 World Cup Celebrations

Year 2 had a fantastic time tasting the culinary delights of Mexico.

Year 4 'Fair and Funky' Workshop.

 We had an amazing time learning about Fairtrade, recycling and looking after our local wildlife.

We even made our own bird feeders!

In PE, Y5 have been creating and performing their own gymnastic routines which included jumps, balances and movement.

Year 4 Trip to Fiddlers Ferry

The Year 4 children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Fiddlers Ferry this week. We discovered so much about electricity and how it's made. We enjoyed making our own Hydroelectricity funnels, electrical circuits and pylons. We even had our very own private tour of the power station!

KS2 Valentine's Disco

Year 4 dance club was a real hit! Over thirty children performed to the song 'Power' after choreographing their dance for five weeks. 

Y5 have been learning all about mummification. The children had fantastic fun recreating this fascinating process.

Mrs Smith and 2 pupils attended a meeting at The Mayor’s Parlour, St. Helens Town Hall.

Along with representatives from schools across St. Helens, the children found out about exciting proposals that could transform the town centre.

Councillor Joe Pearson, Mayor of St Helens and Chief executive, Mr. Michael Palin, were keen to find out the children’s views.

Gardening club for Year 4.

KS1 science week provided lots of excitement.

The children have had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day.

Y4D have been learning about Sound in Science. We have experimented with different materials and created poems based on the sounds that we hear around school. 

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed meeting the Veterans and had the opportunity to have a first-hand experience of numerous World War II artefacts such as: weapons, medals, uniform and other memorabilia. This experience was then used as a stimulus to write some amazing timeslip stories in English.

Fantastic news! Lots of wonderful new books are going into the KS2 library ready for September.These books have been ordered using the Free Rewards from the books bought by parents/carers at the School Book Fair.Thank you for supporting this event.

Y5 and Y6 pupils enjoyed playing Touch Rugby and meeting Saints players at The Whittle Cup.

We celebrated the Royal Wedding in style and had an afternoon picnic.

Year 5 have had a fantastic afternoon, working collaboratively, teaching each other how to use 'Kodu'.

Year 5 and 6 had a lovely morning sharing a story with children from Reception.

A Dragon Discovery!

Year 4 watched some footage from one of our security cameras. It showed a huge, fire-breathing dragon flying over the KS2 playground. We couldn't believe our eyes! When we went out to investigate, we found a dragon egg hiding in the grass. We were so excited! This amazing discovery inspired us to write some fantastic reports and recounts.

Year 4 loved their Christmas activities.

Y6 presented their Innovation Project Powerpoint presentations for the St. Helens Chamber and a representative of Chester Zoo.

Magical Maths Assembly for Years 3 & 4.

Nursery children have had lots of fun settling in to Nursery and some stayed for lunch.

Y2 Easter walk through at St Mark's church.

The children in Year 4 have been working very hard to create their own robots at home. They showcased them to each other and the rest of KS2! WOW!

Year 3 Visit Christ Church

Year 3 children had a fantastic time at Christ Church. They learnt about what happened on the first Easter and got to make some Easter themed crafts.

A yummy chocolate fountain to end our amazing Chocolate topic in Year 4.
